Earlier known as ‘Kondhana’, named after the sage Kaundinya, the Sinhagad Fort holds within it a glorious past and rich history. Perched on an isolated cliff of the Bhuleshwar range in the Sahyadri Mountains, the fort is situated on a hill about 760 metres above ground and was strategically built to provide natural protection owing to its steep slopes. The fort had been a site of many battles including the most notable Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 fought by the brave general of Shivaji Maharaj - Tanaji Malusare.

1.We kindly inform our guests that we do not offer luggage pickup services at the resort parking area.

2.If any guests require luggage pickup services, please call the resort to request this at least one day before arrival.

3.Carrying and consuming alcohol in the forest is strictly prohibited.

4.The distance from the parking area to the resort trek is over 1 kilometer, which may present challenges for individuals with physical disabilities and senior citizens. We appreciate your understanding.
