A small town in Satara district, Wai is a cosy hill station with a number of temples located in the area and breathtaking views. Located on the Krishna River, this town was prominent in the Peshwa era. Also known as 'Dakshin Kashi', Wai is visited by several Lord Shiva and Ganpati devotees every year and boasts of more than 100 temples.

Located at a distance of about 35 km from Satara, Wai is an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. You can also stop by Wai on your way to Panchgani or Mahabaleshwar. From nature lovers and history enthusiasts to devotees, this hill station has something for everyone. Moreover, you can also indulge in some fun activities like boating and taste the traditional Maharashtrian food while you are here.
