About

Location

Situated in Sahyadri Hills, Bhimashankar is nestled inside the small village of Ambegaon in Pune. Offering scenic beauty with rich vegetation and wildlife, it is home to Bhimashankar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. It’s reachable by going down 230 steps which aren’t too steep. The temple is located inside the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary that also offers challenging treks for those seeking an outdoor adventure.
